Mia’s Journey: From Social Media Newcomer to Asia-Pacific Branding Specialist

Starting with JumpIn’s hands-on training program, Mia transformed her creative instincts into measurable results — managing restaurant promotions, hosting exclusive events, and mastering big data insights across major platforms. 1. 📱 Training Program: Social Media Meets Big Data

Mia entered the JumpIn Social Media & Big Data Training Program with no technical background but a strong passion for storytelling and hospitality.

During her training, she contributed to over 10 restaurant accounts in Sydney, including Japanese omakase restaurants, whisky bars, and theme-party venues hosted in partnership with local businesses.

Her campaigns reached over 20,000 targeted diners across the Sydney area, blending visually engaging content with backend performance reviews from platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Rednote (小红书).

“I always thought social media was just about creativity — now I see how data takes it to the next level.” Mia said.

2. 🍽️ Internship with Foodnote: Events, Analytics & Hands-On Growth

Recognised for her creativity and performance, Mia was selected to intern at Foodnote, a GlobalReach-backed platform that helps restaurants grow using big data marketing tools.

She worked directly on analysing Facebook, Instagram, and Rednote metrics to help restaurant clients improve targeting and boost reservations.

At the same time, Mia was responsible for on-site event execution, hosting monthly themed gatherings at premium bars and high-end restaurants, building real-time engagement between brands and their audiences.

“Seeing the numbers rise online is great — but watching real customers walk through the door from our campaigns is even better.” Mia mentioned.

3. 🌏 Contractor at GlobalReach: Scaling Social Strategy Across APAC

Following her internship success, Mia was promoted to a contractor role at GlobalReach, where she now supports invested companies and client projects across a broader regional landscape. Her work includes social media management, branding campaigns, influencer partnerships, and event-led promotions — not just in Sydney, but also expanding to new cities across the Asia-Pacific region.

From local dining brands to cross-border F&B ventures, Mia now leads strategies that help businesses grow their identity, audience, and customer base online and offline.
